Martin Flores – A Story of Hard Work, Faith, and Perseverance

Martin Flores brings hands-on technical, maintenance, leadership, and business experience to A Plus Workforce Foundation. Raised in Houston, Texas, in a hardworking family, Martin learned early the values of perseverance, responsibility, faith, and determination.

After graduating from high school, Martin attended Doolin Technical College, where he studied HVAC along with basic plumbing and electrical coursework. He began his career in the apartment industry as a porter and advanced to maintenance supervisor through hard work and continued learning.

Martin moved to North Carolina in 1995 and later became self-employed, building more than 15 years of business experience. As Vice President of A Plus Workforce Foundation, he helps support the organization's mission of preparing people for skilled careers and long-term economic stability.
