Martin Flores – A Story of Hard Work, Faith, and Perseverance
My name is Martin Flores, and my story began in Houston, Texas, where I was raised in a hardworking family. Growing up wasn't easy. We came from humble beginnings, and wearing hand-me-down clothes was simply a part of life. As one of ten children, I learned early that success wasn't handed to you—it was earned through hard work, determination, and faith.

 
 Life brought many struggles, and I faced challenges in every stage of my journey. Through it all, I was blessed with two incredible role models: my mother and my stepfather. They worked tirelessly to provide for our family, never giving up despite the hardships we faced. Their sacrifices, resilience, and unconditional love taught me the importance of perseverance and responsibility.

 I attended school in Texas and graduated from high school before enrolling at Doolin Technical College, where I studied HVAC along with basic plumbing and electrical work. Completing my trade school education opened the door to a career built on skill, dedication, and a willingness to learn.
I began my career in the apartment industry as a porter. I worked my way up until I became a maintenance supervisor, always striving to better myself.
In 1995, my wife and I moved to North Carolina to begin a new chapter in our lives. I continued working hard, eventually starting my own business. Today, I have been self-employed for over 15 years. Looking back, I am grateful to God for opening doors, creating new horizons, and guiding me through every season of life.

 My journey has taught me that your beginnings do not determine your future. With faith, hard work, integrity, and perseverance, it is possible to overcome adversity and build a life filled with purpose.
